knowledge of the topics. The most recent iteration has added a comprehensive
online tracking system to monitor all aspects of the participant's progress
and scoring. |

DMV Driver Education
The California DMV did a study on whether self-paced, interactive driver ed courses were as effective as classroom-based courses. We created an interactive CD and workbook covering the entire California driver code. Students are presented with tutorials that are supplemented with animated scenes, video clips, diagrams, and photos. They are also asked to interact with the animations by making decisions on what the driver should do. After completing all the tutorials on a topic, the student must pass a quiz before continuing on to the next chapter. A built-in tracking system records their results and lets them leave the program and re-enter at any time. |

and based on the child's response the appropriate segment would be displayed
next. Their answers were tracked and presented at the end of the quiz. The

updated graphics in 2008. |

Association
of Fundraising Professionals
AFP's site serves as a valuable tool for member communication as well as an outreach
tool for reaching new members. Prior to the redesign, updating the site was the
responsibility of a single Webmaster who was also busy with other roles in the
organization. STLi designed a Web-based Content Management System for the site
that does not require knowledge of HTML to use, allowing other AFP staff to now
assist in the updates. We created 8 different levels of access, each level having
permission to update only certain portions of the site. The result is a site
that is much more current and much more useful to all AFP members and staff. |
